Renatha Fernandes
She was the first teacher at GSS English High School in Majiwada, helping lay its foundation in the earliest days. For over 30 years she taught art to thousands of students. Many are now professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders, and they remember the kind teacher who believed in them.
Cancer has weakened her body, but not her spirit.
She was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago…. Through treatment, pain and long hospital visits, she turned to painting for strength and has created more than 25 original paintings. Her dream is a small exhibition to share them with her community.
